As committed as I am to Pilates, and grateful for my strong, flexible and healthy body because of it’s consistent practice, I have a monthly regimen of preventative care that helps keep me balanced and strong both inside and out. This is especially important when starting Pilates (or any new exercise system), as it’s natural for our muscles and bones to protest mildly – change is hard for everybody!

For me, the regular support of these three healing modalities are the foundation on which my personal physical evolution is built,

Accupuncture is one of the oldest healing arts, appropriate for all ages and used for both chronic issues and preventative care. Hope LeClaire is one of it’s most confident and effective practitioners.

Chiropractic Medicine is an integral part of my self-care and I highly recommend it. Dr. Mark Griffin, of Nauset Chiropractic is a skilled and intuitive diagnostician achieving often remarkable results in the first visit. He can be reached at: (508) 240-1037

Massage: The medical evidence for the benefits of regular massage are main stream concepts now, and like chiropractic and acupuncture is gaining acceptance in the health insurance world. Linda Preston, and her team at the Cape Cod Body & Soul Day Spa are some of the best around. Whether you need a deep tissue massage or are looking for a more spa like experience, I recommend them highly.
