Student Hand Book/FAQ

1. Parking - Please pull forward to the garage to park. School is located to the right as you pulled into the driveway.

 

2. Clothing - Please wear workout clothing as tight as your comfort level will allow. The more your teacher can see the easier it is to offer appropriate correction and instruction. It's why we watch you!

 

3. Shoes - In warm weather, please leave them on the front porch before you enter. In cool weather, please step in a few feet and leave near door (mats provided in inclement weather) or in the cloak room.

 

4. Locker Room - Well, it's hard to call it a locker room, when it's won 3 design awards..but...several early morning students take advantage of the 3- head shower and heated floor after their workout. Towels provided.

 

5. Cloak Room - To the left, after the kitchen galley, is the "dump your stuff" place - shoes, bags, coats, etc. There is an adjacent powder room for your convenience. Please bring only water or wrap to school room.

 

6. Bare Feet Allowed - Pilates was designed to be performed in bare feet. Many studios, for various reasons require full or toeless socks. You are, of course, always welcome to wear them and I provide a few pair if you've forgotten yours. However, in summer, when leaving shoes outside, I request that you wipe your feet with the damp wipes provided. Sand is the enemy of the apparatus!
